Autumn Nail polish!

Hello!
Today I'm going to do a little review on some of the new autumn Barry M Nail Paints!

As you probably already know, I am a big fan of the Barry M nail polishes, it seems to be the only brand I buy any more, so when they brought out their new autumn collection I was very excited to buy a few and try them out!

photo from http://thenailymail.blogspot.co.uk
I knew i couldn't buy all six of the gorgeous colours, so Kate helped me choose just three (there was a 3for2 offer on!)

The colours I decided on were Cardamom, Paprika and Mustard.

Cardamom is a lovely green with a slight grey tone to it.
Paprika is an orange toned brown.
Mustard is what it says on the tin;)
All of the colours go on really opaquely, and you can often get away with just one coat, which is ideal for if you don't fancy spending ages doing your nails! The collection is available in Superdrug and they cost £3.99 each (a bargain!)

Here are all three together in an autumnal take on daisy nails!

I hope you enjoyed this post, what are your opinions on Barry M Nail Paints?
I hope the rest of your weekend is great!
Lots of love,

My Piece of Summer - Cloe

I think it's been a very long time since I wrote a post on this blog but I'm back!
Emma C came up with this great idea of each of us writing up a post revolving around our summers!

At the beginning of my summer my mum came to pick me up and surprised me with 2 gorgeous black Labrador puppies! She had named them Oscar and  Charlie!
They look very different now!

During summer it was also my birthday! I received a new phone from my mum which I was very happy about!  I also got a few other things!

Emma suggested we all do a summer playlist, but I wanted to do something different so I'm going to recommend some books I've been loving over the summer!

Abundance Of Katherine's-John Green
Obviously after The Fault in Our Stars John Green has become more popular. In my opinion though, some of his other books are better than The Fault in Our Stars!
This book is about a boy called Colin Singleton who only goes out with girls called Katherine. I've not completely read the book but so far it is amazing!

Looking For Alaska-John Green
Yes it is another John Green book sorry! ;)
This book I think is my favourite John Green book I've ever read. It is quite sad but it is just amazing!

Forrest Gump-Winston Groom
Now if you have ever seen the film Forrest Gump then you need to read this book! With all books,in my opinion, they are better than the film, and especially in this book! It tells you more about him that wasn't in the film as well :)

Obviously my summer wasn't as fun as the other bloggers because I didn't go on holiday and I've just been spending time with family! My summer was still fun but I'm happy to be back at school
I hope you enjoyed reading my blogpost and I will try and post more!

My Piece of Summer - Emma. C

Hello!

Today, I'm also doing a post about my summer holidays, I had an absolutely amazing summer!

As you probably know, I went to Turkey with one of my best friends and guest blogger, Kate! We had a lovely time, swimming, shopping and going to the beach!

The complex we stayed on was gorgeous, it was my third time there and I'm sure it gets more beautiful every time I go!
We stayed near a place called Fethiye, which was gorgeous, the fountains are beautiful and there's a little street with umbrellas covering it, which we found really sweet!
Relaxing on the beaches was not hard, especially with the comfy bean bags and stunning sunsets!
We went horse riding up a mountain, which gave us amazing views of Oludeniz, which is a blue lagoon in Turkey!
We went on a boat trip and went in a mud bath, we saw some tombs and also some turtles!
There were lots of stray cats and dogs, which made me miss my pets!

I had a wonderful time on holiday with Kate and my family, I'm very grateful to have been on such an enjoyable holiday yet again!

After the holiday, I spent lots of time taking my younger brother on walks with our two dogs, Freddy and Florence, I feel so lucky to have so many lovely places to take the dogs out near me!

We visited a really cute cafe with my dad, it has the best cookies I've ever tasted!

The holidays also involved lots of cuddles with my pets as they're just too cute not to cuddle!

On the last weekend of the holidays, me and some of my friends took a train to York for a shopping trip, we've already got another trip there planned at Christmas time for my birthday! I love York so much I wish I went more often! After that, Kate and Ursula stayed at my house for a sleepover where we watched films and ate lots!

These are just some of the highlights of my summer, I spent more time with my friends but I didn't get photos and I think this is already a long post!

I hope your summer was as great as mine, I wish you the best of luck for the year ahead, whether you're at school, sixth form, college, university or work!

A big thank you to my friends for being the amazing people you are, I don't know what life would be like without you!

I really hope you enjoyed this post,
Lots of love,

My Piece of Summer - Kate

Hello!

Today I'm going to do a post which rounds up my summer so I can share some of my favourite memories and photos!

The holidays started with me flying to Fethiye, Turkey with Emma (@_emma__c) and her family. We had a great time - swimming and sunbathing in the gorgeous weather!

This was where we stayed, the swimming pool was so nice!

These are a couple of photos that I took when we were out eating dinner - the sunsets were so beautiful!

We took a boat trip and visited some old tombs which were very interesting.

A really cute turtle that we saw whilst on the boat!

When I got back from Turkey, I took a visit to London on the train and went up Tower Bridge with my two little cousins, Aunt and Nana. We had a very busy but fun day, and saw lots of the London sights!

A few days later, me and my family and my friend Ursula (@litt1eshebear) flew to Nerja, Spain, where we spent just over a week in the sun. We had a great time and did lots of beach trips, and swimming in our pool!

This was our villa in Spain, which had a lovely view of the sea!

We visited the Alhambra Palace in Granda which was very spectacular!

I feel very lucky to have gone abroad twice this summer, and have made memories that I'll remember for years to come!

In the final two weeks, I went on lots of dog walks with my mum and brother. It was so lovely to spend time with them and visit lots of cafés in parks!

Here is my dog, Jacob on a walk in Clumber Park which he really enjoyed!

On the last weekend of the holidays, I went to York for the day, again with Emma and Ursula and a couple of other close friends. We had such a lovely time shopping and admiring the beautiful streets in York! That night, me and Emma and Ursula had a sleepover and watched films and ate chocolate, which was very fun.

I had an absolutely fantastic summer holiday, and I hope you enjoyed this post!

My Piece of Summer - Emma. W

Hello,
Seems like forever since I've wrote a entry on this page. The last thing I wrote was a Summer Playlist which I publish to start the summer and now in England our summer is well and truly over. Emma came up with the idea of writing about what we did during our summer holidays and when she first came up with this idea I said but I haven't done anything because the majority of my summer was sat listening to music and looking after my younger sister but once I thought about it I realised I have done quite a lot.

On the first day of summer I celebrated one of my friends birthday with a BBQ we had such a lovely day and the weather held off long enough for us to eat the food outside and go on the trampoline (we're really grown up). When it started to rain (typical English weather) we went inside and watched a few films, played hide and seek (once again very grown up) and ended up almost wetting ourselves with laughter.

Later on that week I went shopping with another one of my friends and we had a lovely day wondering around town, talking and of course we brought a lot of stuff. As I went shopping so long ago I can't really remember what I brought but it was most likely some makeup and a few tops from either Topshop or Newlook.

During the second week I went cinema to watch the Purge Anarchy. Anyone who knows me knows I am terrible when it comes to watching scary films and I had never made it through a whole scary film but I finally did. The film was amazing and I think because I'd over thought how scary it would be I didn't find the actual plot to scary if anything it was jumpy at times when the guy in the white mask appeared and the random gun fires. I thought the film had a good story line and kept you watching, although the ending wasn't what I expected.

During the fifth week of the holiday I actually went on holiday to the Lake District and oh my how I fell in love with the place. It was so perfect and I actual took a few photos, which if I find will be found below.

The Bandstand which was in the middle of the cutest
little garden.
Not only was the garden beautiful itself but it was
right next to the sea.

The boat rides we took on quite a few occasions.

The car ferry we took across the river.
Had a few marshmallows from a old sweet shop.
Before we got onto the ferry on the last day.
Trying to be tumblr with my photo choices
(it didn't go too well).
Mint chocolate chip ice cream whilst waiting for
the boat to return.
The little beach area next to the river.

I had such a lovely week taking boat rides pretty much everyday and every night we'd go on a walk over to the arcade and around the golf course and one night we managed to end up in a sheep field. It was such a relaxing holiday and I so badly wish I was there now. The only downside to the trip is there was no 3G or WIFI but in a way that was so good because I wasn't constantly sat on my phone it made me play more attention to the surroundings instead of a screen.
Finally in the last week I went and watched Guardians of the Galaxy with once of my friends and it was so good. For some reason I had never seen a Marvel film until then and I seriously regret my life choices. After watching that film I know I am going to be sat at home spending my Friday and Saturday nights watching other Marvel films.
This blog post has probably been my favourite to write. I think this was such a lovely idea of Emma's and it will mean in the future I will be able to look back on my last school summer holiday ever. I can't believe how fast it went and that I am now into my final year at school!
Lots of Love,
