Heavenly Nutella Cupcakes!

Today I decided to do some baking, and when I was getting my ingredients out of the cupboard I found a jar of Nutella, so I thought why not incorporate Nutella into the cupcakes?!

 The ingredients:
•butter
•sugar (preferably caster but I only had Demerara!)
•self raising flour
•eggs
•Nutella

Before starting you will need to preheat your oven, I put mine on at around 180 degrees (I have a fan oven).

Firstly, I weighed out 200 grams of butter and 200 grams of sugar into a mixing bowl, it's helpful if the butter is quite soft because it makes it easier to mix.
I used an electric whisk to mix them together in order to get the mixture as smooth as possible, and to be a bit faster!

Next I added 4 eggs into the bowl.
Then I weighed 200g of self raising flour and mixed it all together, and that's the basic cupcake mixture!

After this, I put cupcake cases in a tray and added a spoonful of mixture to the bottom of each case. I used a dessert spoon for this and filed the cases under half full.

Next is the exciting part! I took the Nutella and placed a small teaspoonful of Nutella in the centre of each case.
In the photo there's quite a lot of Nutella on the spoon. I didn't use that much, it was just for the photo, but of course you can use as much or as little as you want!

I then added the remaining cupcake mixture over the Nutella, so the centre of each cupcake would have Nutella in, and placed the tray into the oven which should've heated up by now! I left mine in for 25-30 minutes, but I think they could've been in for a bit less time and still have been cooked well, but it depends how big the cupcakes you have made are and your oven as well.

The end result:

Don't they look delicious?! They sure taste it! They're especially nice when they're warm (there's an excuse for you to eat them fresh out of the oven;) )

I didn't follow a recipe from a book or the internet to make these, I made it up as I went along, so I wasn't sure how they would turn out, but I'm very pleased! You could also replace the Nutella for little chunk of chocolate, or maybe even peanut butter or if you're feeling adventurous, Nutella and peanut butter, although I'm not a fan of peanut butter so I'll pass on that one!

I hope you enjoyed this, and I would love to hear if you make these for yourself!

Lots of love,

Self Confidence And Positive Body Image.

I wrote this blogpost in August, for a blog I used to have and I found that it helped a lot of people then, so I wanted to publish it on this blog as well, all I've changed is the comments from my followers, and I am so grateful for how many people were willing to help me - I had to cut down the comments because there were too many! I hope you enjoy this post.

Tall. Thin. Flawless skin. Faultless hair. Perfection. Society's view of perfection is stupid. Take a piece of paper with society's view of perfect on and rip it up because it is not real.

So much pressure is being put on young people these days, apparently it's not good to be curvy, or have imperfections. So we all have to be perfect now do we?

NO.

Stuff society, you can look however you like to look and you can be whatever weight you want to be and you can wear the clothes you feel comfortable in. Basically be whoever you are, because that's perfect for you.

But if you aren't confident in what you look like here's some advice!

- don't think about what your body looks like, focus on what you can do! What can you do?
Can you Dance? Can you Sing? Are you Amazing at a particular sport? Are you good at art? What other talents do you have?

-Something I want you to do: go to the mirror nearest to you. Look at yourself in that mirror. What do you like about yourself? Can't see anything you like? Look a little closer, get a better mirror. Find something, no matter how small, just something. Now embrace what you love about yourself!

- cut out size labels in your clothes. Sizes in different shops vary so so much, so why think of your clothes as a particular size? Think of them as the size that is perfect for you.

- do the things that you enjoy! Bake, dance, sing, draw, run, walk, sponsor an animal, do some charity work, do whatever makes you happy (unless its something illegal!) because (quote coming!) " love who you are, and love what you do because those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter"

I also asked my followers if they had any advice, so here's what they said:

Quote: 'love yourself, without your flaws you wouldn't be you'
You shouldn't care what others think, the friends and the people that matter love you for you :) x

You're perfect, everyone is different and unique. Love your imperfections because they make you you:)

our flaws makes us different, unique, and beautiful!

Having self confidence is one of the best things you can do for yourself, ask your friends or family for advice because that's one of the ways to be comfortable and happy in your own skin!

Be yourself& Be different

At the end of the day nobody actually cares what you look like because you are your own person and they are only jealous of who you are

lovefromluellax
It doesn't matter what size or shape you are, be yourself, be unique<3

It's good to be different, normal is boring!

I was told once that you should nver change who you are for what they want you to be and everyone is different and different is good

I love this quote: 'nobody can make you feel inferior without your consent' -Eleanor Roosevelt

Our flaws make us different. What are we without our flaws? We're all 'normal' people, but what is normal? Who is normal? No one because we're all different, no one is normal, we're all special and we are not perfect, no one needs to be perfect. (Chloe)

Take a look in the mirror with a friend. Say something that you don't like about yourself. Everytime you say something bad about yourself your friend must say three good things. I once watched an assembly about how short life is. They measured the days of your life in jellybeans and lots had been used up for eating, sleeping and the usual stuff and then there was some used up for school and work and then stuff like that but after all of those there weren't many left. They asked us what we would do with our last few jellybeans. Would you use them to spend worrying what other people thought? Or would you not care because of how short a time it was? That's how you have to think. Don't waste time worrying about negativity of others. Focus on you!

If someone doesn't like you for your looks then let them be a rude person, be happy with what you are because there are always people who will look at you and be jealous of your body and your looks and wish you looked like them. Those rude people are only jealous that you are prettier than them and they are just heartless

imfeelinghappy
Think of your ten year old self (or an age younger than you are now) and tell them everything you say to yourself everyday (e.g fat, ugly) You can't do it can you? so why do you do it to yourself everyday?

lilbeccaa
This might sound mean and I'm sorry, but find someone who you love or like or admire, whether they're your best friend or the "pretty girl". Now find something on them that maybe isn't quite perfect. At first you might think they are flawless, but everyone has their imperfections and that makes them who they are! Maybe they get quite a few spots or are really tall. Now think to yourself, does that make you like them any less? Does that stop them from making you smile? Does that mean that you don't think they look nice anymore? No. And they don't think that about you! They don't notice the little things that you notice about yourself, just like its hard to find imperfections in other people sometimes. But if they do see it (is its just as fact that you have super curly hair or w/e) , they don't care and it doesn't affect them at all! This is super long and probably doesn't make any sense sorry!

We can all have role models but if we strive to look like them, have the same personality as them and just generally be like them u will loose the person you were born to be ... Yourself!

A Walk In The Woods!

 Hello!

Last week, I got a new camera, and I went on a walk to the woods to test it out. My parents suggested the idea because it's spring and everything looks so pretty in the woods. It was a very sunny, warm day as well, so it was nice to go for a little stroll!

This will be a very photo-heavy blogpost, I took a lot of photos all the way round the walk! If you're like me, you'll love this post, may favourite parts of blogposts are the photos!

The way we go into the woods involves walking through a field, often used for football, but it's perfect for dogs to run around on, my parents have also often bumped into Jessica Ennis walking her dog there as well!
My two dogs, Freddy the cocker spaniel  (the third photo) and Florence the soft coated wheaten terrier (in the second photo, that you met in my first blogpost), really love to run around and find things to play with!
Freddy and Florence made friends with this lovely dog. The dog was actually blind but did not hesitate to run around with them, it kept bumping into me as well! I think it's great that even dogs without any sight can have the freedom to run around on the field and the only thing the have to worry about running into is humans!

At the bottom of the field there was a massive patch of daisies and they were so cute and it just all looked so nice in the sun!
I think this photo of the daisies is one of my favourites!

We then got into the woods and it looked amazing! The bluebells were everywhere and I took rather a lot of photos of them!
That's just three photos of bluebells, be prepared for more, I'm trying to do them in order of when they were taken!

Then there is this little clearing where the sun shines in and the grass looks all luscious and there are nice little flowers and it would be a perfect place for a picnic too!

After walking down the path, you get back into the woods and what are you surrounded by?! More bluebells!
Florence had a little drink of water resulting in her beard changing colour!

Spot the cocker spaniel;)
I didn't realise there was a fly on the flower as I was taking the photo, that came as a surprise when I put the photos onto my computer!
I came across a huge patch of bluebells and other little wild flowers!
Florence looks at you with her gorgeous brown eyes and persuades you to give her a treat with just eye contact, what a clever dog haha!
Freddy's favourite part is the river of course!
Action shot!
Made some more friends!
The walk had nearly finished, off we went out of the woods an back onto the field!
I don't think I've ever seen a dog look as happy as Freddy does here, walking along without a care:)

I really hope you enjoyed reading this blogpost and seeing the first photos I took with my new camera, I was very happy with the results!

If you enjoyed this, please let me know and maybe I could do some more blogposts like this but for different things!

Lots of love,
